Along the lines of Kenison and Powers, Abraham Verghese, Professor for the Theory and Practice of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Senior Associate Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, and author, discusses human to human connection vs. human to screen “disconnection” in the practice of medicine in today’s New York Times.
